Contract | Days and Nights Available (3x12-Hour Rotating Shifts) | Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend and holidays as needed | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 21-bed inpatient medical-surgical unit serving a predominantly orthopedic, trauma, and surgical patient population
- Care for patients recovering from traumatic and orthopedic injuries, general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and elective spine surgery procedures
- Monitor and assess hemodynamically stable adult and geriatric patients, adjusting care plans as needed
- Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
- Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, including during designated hurricane season months
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or documented proof of application/pending licensure at time of submission
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour rotating shift schedule including days and nights
- Availability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Proficiency or ability to learn EPIC charting system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a medical-surgical, orthopedic, or trauma care setting
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, or Magnet-designated hospital
