Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Float between PCU and MS/Tele acuity units as staffing needs are assessed each shift; expect approximately 75% of time in MS/Tele and 25% in PCU
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with state practice standards and facility policies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, families, and caregivers
- Clinically manage patients with multi-system conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring, chest tube care, and advanced respiratory modalities
- Advocate for patient safety by participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and upholding patient rights and privacy
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required
- Dysrhythmia exam required prior to start (study guide available)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of RN experience, with prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience with ventilator management preferred
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) familiarity preferred
- CCRN or PCCN certification preferred
