Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting during day shift hours
- Monitor, assess, and respond to critically ill patients in accordance with established clinical protocols
- Utilize the EPIC electronic health records system for accurate and timely documentation
- Float to Med Surg/Telemetry units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
- Minimum 3 years of ICU/CCU experience required
- Active New York State RN license required (verified via current Nursys)
- Current BLS certification (AHA) and ACLS certification (AHA) required
- Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system required
- Prior travel nursing experience required; must have own vehicle
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be willing to float to Med Surg/Telemetry when needed
- Completion of approved Verbal De-escalation training (Welle or CPI) required for onboarding
- Must be able to complete a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume or regional community hospital ICU environment
- Familiarity with coronary care or telemetry monitoring in addition to critical care
