Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; occasional 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM as needed) | Every other weekend and holiday coverage required | No call
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care across all age groups, including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health populations
- Deliver high-acuity care in a STEMI and Stroke-designated facility
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within a department that supports specialties including cath lab, women's health, and stroke care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic health record system
- Adhere to facility scheduling expectations, including a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system required
- Prior experience in a STEMI and Stroke facility required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted); current driver's license required to confirm address
Preferred Experience / Skills
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Experience caring for diverse patient populations including behavioral health and oncology
- Familiarity with cath lab, women's health, or stroke care environments
