Contract | 13 Weeks | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours | Rotating Day/Mid Shifts (07:00–19:30 / 11:00–23:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting across all age ranges, from infant to geriatric
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients presenting with a wide variety of complex, multi-system diagnosesadequately
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, with the possibility of up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective emergency interventions
- Float within the Emergency Department specialty and to sister ED facilities as needed based on departmental staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
- Current PALS certification (American Heart Association only)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- CPI certification required (must be completed through an accepted vendor; can be completed during onboarding)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
- Comfort with floating within scope to other Emergency Department locations with no restrictions
- Experience managing complex, multi-system diagnoses across all patient age groups in a high-acuity environment
