Opportunity Highlights Step into a well-supported leadership role that’s highly valued Lead a stable, growing APP team within a stable Orthopaedic Surgery department Drive operational and patient care improvements through close collaboration. Oversee daily operations for NPs and PAs in Orthopaedic Surgery Split role approximately 50% administrative and 50% clinical, flexing as needed Supervise a current team of 22 APPs across multiple deployment areas and sites Optimize clinic workflows, scheduling, templates, and staff coverage across multiple sites Lead onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and professional development Partner with senior management and physicians to build APP best-practice models Use HR and labor contract experience to manage change and complex priorities Follow an outpatient clinic structure: 4 half-day sessions with 20-minute appointments Practice with no OR responsibility UC San Diego Health is ranked the No. 1 hospital system in San Diego by US News, with national recognition in 9 medical and surgical specialties
