Opportunity:
Cardiac Telemetry 7NNA
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Holiday work based on unit coverage needs
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 depending on acuity of assignment
• Must have Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion
• 3 days of floor-specific orientation
• Must maintain sterile field competency
• Required to interpret EKGs using Philips monitors
• Float to other telemetry units including T5, T6, and Neuro Tele
• Work with cardiac stepdown patients, lung transplant, chest pain, MI, pre-transplant, esophagectomy, ER overflow, and detox patients
• Handle non-titrating drips and high flow oxygen/CPAP
• Dress code requires navy scrubs, natural hair color, no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Use Cerner EMR system with PCs available in patient rooms
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
