Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Evenings at a leading ($facility_type$) in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI scanning procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral magnetic resonance, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2, and CINE • Operate GE and Siemens MRI equipment • Provide imaging services for all patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Maintain current BLS certification • Maintain valid ARRT and ARRT MR certifications • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Work 5x8 hour shifts from 14:30 - 23:00 • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and skill sets • Complete hospital orientation during first week of assignment • Report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disasters as part of Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week • Complete all required compliance testing within 48 hours after signing • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Maintain minimum 2 years of MRI experience with previous travel experience required • Comply with facility dress code requirements including royal blue scrubs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
