**Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist**
**Shift: Day Shift (4x10-Hour Schedule, 06:30 - 17:00)**
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in interventional radiology and be proficient in various procedures and technologies. This is a challenging role that includes supporting vascular surgeons during endovascular cases and operating specialized imaging equipment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the preparation and execution of endovascular procedures in a hybrid operating room setting.
- Operate and maintain Siemens imaging equipment, ensuring accurate imaging for surgical interventions.
- Conduct laser-assisted procedures such as angioplasty, stent placements, and embolization.
- Monitor patient status throughout procedures, ensuring adherence to safety and sterile techniques.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, utilizing PACS for imaging and diagnostics support.
- Maintain inventory and stock medical supplies required for procedures.
- Conduct patient assessments and prep access sites while adhering to isolation precautions.
**Required Skills and Certifications:**
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiovascular (CV) preferred.
- Proficient in various interventional procedures including aortography, renal angiography, and thrombectomy.
- Experience with fluoroscopy and ultrasound technologies.
- Ability to maintain sterile fields and follow stringent infection control protocols.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems, specifically EPIC, is preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
**Work Requirements:**
- Patient ratio of 1:1, with call requirement of one night a week and every third weekend.
- Commitment to working during catastrophic events or disasters is expected.
- Participation in a two-week orientation (80 hours) to familiarize with unit protocols and equipment.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in a hospital setting with Level II trauma capabilities.
- Prior charge experience in a similar role.
