Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading ($facility_type$) in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal scans • Conduct specialized imaging techniques including diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, and peripheral magnetic resonance • Operate spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2 weighted imaging, and CINE procedures • Utilize GE and Siemens MRI equipment for diagnostic imaging • Maintain current BLS and ARRT certifications • Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system • Provide imaging services for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Work Monday through Friday day shifts (5x8 schedule) • Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually • Participate in hospital orientation during first week of assignment • Report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disasters as part of Storm Team/Hurricane Team • Complete laboratory testing and compliance requirements within 48 hours of contract signing • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Adhere to facility dress code requirements (royal blue scrubs) • Maintain valid state licensure (NC or Compact license) • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and unit requirements • Comply with fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
