Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading ($facility_type$) in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Scrub into endovascular cases to assist surgeons during procedures
• Run and maintain Siemens equipment during cases
• Utilize PACS system to pull up imaging
• Operate c-arm equipment in open rooms for vascular surgeons during open vascular cases
• Perform laser assisted procedures and maintain sterile field
• Conduct various angiographic procedures including angioplasty, aortography, and embolization
• Perform endograft placement and stent placement procedures
• Execute IVC filter placement and removal procedures
• Conduct renal angiography, mesenteric angiograms, and pelvic angiography
• Perform carotid stenting and central venous access/port placement
• Execute dialysis graft creation/revision and interventions
• Conduct upper and lower extremity angiography
• Perform thrombolysis/thrombectomy procedures
• Operate fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
• Provide accurate patient monitoring during procedures
• Set up equipment and prep access sites
• Utilize vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose
• Maintain equipment and inventory management
• Stock supplies as needed
• Follow isolation precautions and sterile technique protocols
• Work 4x10 hour shifts from 06:30-17:00
• Take call one night per week and every third weekend
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Float between units and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Use Epic documentation system and Pyxis medication system
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Maintain ARRT certification in R and VI or R and CV
• Adhere to fatigue policy limitations of maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
