**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
- **Shift:** 3 x 12 Mid/Evening Shift
- **Minimum Experience Required:** 3 years
- **Certifications/Requirements:**
- General Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS/BCLS
- Nursing Certifications: CPI
**About the Role:**
As an essential member of our patient care team, you will actively engage in delivering high-quality direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas. Here's what you'll do:
- **Patient Assessment:**
- Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission.
- Gather vital medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests.
- **Care Planning:**
- Collaborate with Physicians to plan and implement individualized care plans.
**Essential Job Functions:**
- **Assessment Skills:**
- Perform standard assessments using basic medical equipment.
- **Medication Administration:**
- Exhibit strong visual acuity and hand-eye coordination.
- **Communication & Documentation:**
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- **Patient Safety:**
- Adhere to all safety standards as required.
- **Interpersonal Skills:**
- Interact positively with team members and patients.
- Respect patients' culture, lifestyle, religion, and age when planning and implementing care.
- Accept constructive criticism and respond positively.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education:**
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Active New Hampshire RN License required or eligibility to obtain one.
- **Experience:**
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience preferred.
- **Professional Activities:**
- Membership in a professional nursing organization is a plus.
- Certification in specialty areas preferred.
