Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week | Projected Start: April 6, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed ICU/CCU unit with patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 3:1
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring devices
- Assist with and support central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Participate in unit float rotation in alignment with core staffing policies
- Collaborate within a team-oriented environment alongside medical technologists and unit support staff
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Kentucky or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/CCU experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Proficiency with critical thinking and ability to work in a self-motivated, independent manner
- Experience with advanced critical care equipment and hemodynamic monitoring
- Compliance with dress code: scrubs in any color (no denim, capris, or camouflage)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
- Familiarity with Impella, IABP, or EKOS device management
