Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across a 64-bed Emergency Department encompassing triage, acute, trauma, super track, CDU, and psychiatric areas
- Manage and treat a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients presenting with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun as clinically indicated
- Float to other units within the facility as required
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License (verified and in good standing)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- NIHSS certification required
- TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience or demonstrated charge capability
- Experience with high-acuity diagnoses including trauma, cardiac arrest, and stroke protocols
