Contract | Mid Shift (2:30 PM – 3:00 AM) | Onsite | Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting serving newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Manage common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
- Float to other units as required
- Function within a 64-bed department encompassing triage, acute care, super track, trauma, clinical decision, and psychiatric areas
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license (verified and in good standing)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- NIHSS certification required
- TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience or demonstrated charge capability
- Experience with high-acuity trauma and cardiac emergency presentations
- Familiarity with psychiatric emergency patient care
