Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
- Manage a patient ratio of up to 6:1 or 7:1 across a 22-bed unit
- Utilize telemetry equipment and document accurately within the MEDITECH EHR system
- Float as a second nurse to Telemetry and the Emergency Department as needed
- Assist with common diagnoses and treatments including surgical cases, peritoneal dialysis exchanges, catheter/line placement, and psychiatric care
- Adhere to scheduling requirements to meet unit staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license with a minimum Associate's degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Ability to float to Telemetry and Emergency Department as a second nurse
- Must meet travel eligibility requirements (60 miles or greater from facility)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record system
- Background working in a Joint Commission Accredited facility
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and related equipment
