Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Coverage
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a NICU setting with an average daily census of 30 patients
- Maintain a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
- Float to Mother Baby and Pediatrics units as needed
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic EMR
- Participate in emergency response team duties as assigned by unit manager during emergency events
Required Qualifications
- Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
- BLS and NRP certifications required (AHA certifications required)
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required for previous travelers; minimum 3 years of NICU experience required for first-time travelers
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current NURSYS report (within 4 weeks of submission date) required
- Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU specialty
- Familiarity with a wide range of neonatal patient diagnoses and procedures
- Experience floating to Mother Baby or Pediatrics units
