Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Days | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 5x8s, 0500–1700 (schedule and start times rotate)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment
- Ensure all patients on the unit receive cost-effective, professional care resulting in positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction
- Maintain the highest level of patient safety standards across the unit
- Assess and implement steps to improve the quality of the patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience
- Demonstrated supervisory skills or prior supervisory experience
- BLS certification (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS) from an approved vendor
- ACLS and PALS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
- Five or more years of technical nursing experience
- Experience working in a Trauma Center setting
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
