Contract | Days | Full-Time | 4x10s, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | One night of call per week and one weekend per month | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients in the perioperative setting in accordance with established Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in the perioperative care of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care while promoting cooperation among the health care team.
- Function in an expanded RN role, exemplifying leadership and professionalism in the implementation of the RNFA role.
- Operate within facility policies and guidelines, reporting directly to the Director of Perioperative Services.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities, including one night of call per week and one weekend per month.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Certification of completion of an approved didactic RNFA course.
- Minimum three years of scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility.
- Current RN license in state of practice.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from an approved vendor.
- Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification required.
- Current Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).
- Experience in orthopedics, orthopedic total joints, gynecology, and general surgery.
- Annual surgeon review as required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor.
- Demonstrated leadership and professionalism within a perioperative or surgical services environment.
