Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as an RN within a cardiovascular operating room environment handling open heart, TAVR, open/endovascular, and thoracic cases
- Assist with scrubbing in as needed to hold the heart and help close the chest
- Participate in a call rotation including one weekday call per week and one weekend call per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Float to the General OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled, and as needed within the broader surgical zone
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with OR technicians and the surgical team across a 3-suite CVOR performing approximately 1–2 open heart cases per day
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
- BLS certification (required)
- Demonstrated experience in open heart surgery and/or endovascular procedures
- Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
- Must be available and present in state for the full one-week unit orientation
- Valid driver's license required; must reside within 60 miles of facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with TAVR and thoracic surgical cases
- Familiarity with Epic EMR
- Availability for holiday call shifts preferred
