Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Emergency Department including 2 trauma bays, a fast track area, and 1 seclusion room serving approximately 70 patients per day
- Manage a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics, including minor walk-in cases, trauma stabilization, and pediatric transfers
- Perform lab draws, IV insertions, and patient assessments using Meditech EMR
- Operate and monitor ventilated patients as needed within the ED setting
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED physicians, mid-level providers, paramedics, ER techs, and respiratory therapy available 24/7
- Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and participate in trauma response and code situations as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- At least 1 prior travel nursing contract completed
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ventilator management in an emergency or critical care setting
- Familiarity with trauma stabilization protocols and air evacuation coordination
- Experience caring for a broad patient population including pediatric and geriatric patients
