Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a two-suite Cath Lab environment, including one dedicated EP room and one fully interventional lab room
- Administer conscious sedation for all cases as required
- Participate in a 3-person team for routine cases (1 RN, 2 techs) and a 4-person team for STEMIs and call cases (2 RNs, 2 techs)
- Fulfill weeknight call requirements, generally one night per week with occasional additional nights based on staffing needs
- Participate in weekend call rotation (approximately one weekend responsibility every 3–4 weeks, Friday 1830 to Monday 0600) and holiday call rotation
- Respond to call within 30 minutes; potential float to a nearby sister facility as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Prior Cath Lab experience with the ability to administer sedation
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (maximum 2 attempts via designated testing platform)
- Must pass a Simulation Lab competency assessment on day one of orientation
- Must not have worked at a facility within this health system as permanent staff, staff PRN, or seasonal staff within the past 12 months
Preferred Experience / Skills
- EP (Electrophysiology) experience strongly preferred; candidates without prior EP experience will not be assigned to the EP room
- Scrub experience in the Cath Lab setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Maclab and Cerner EMR systems
