Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | On-call requirement evenings and weekends | Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 schedule or 40 hours for 8/10 schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting, including procedures involving balloon pump, Impella, and atherectomy devices
- Administer and monitor cardiac medication drips and emergency medications
- Respond to STEMI cases and other time-sensitive cardiac emergencies
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
- Complete required pre-start and annual compliance modules in a timely manner via designated platform
- Participate in on-call coverage during evenings and weekends per facility schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license with no license hits (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum of 18 months RN experience; 2 years preferred
- STEMI experience required
- Current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications required (no pending certifications accepted)
- Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
- Must pass EKG and pharmacology tests during orientation (2 attempts maximum; no remediation; cancellation if failed)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of RN experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP setting
- Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers also accepted
- Familiarity with Impella and atherectomy device management
