Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with applicable state practice standards and organizational policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments throughout the episode of care.
- Manage central lines, A-lines, drips, and other invasive monitoring devices as required by patient condition.
- Apply emergency nursing practice across the lifespan, including triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention for acute medical, trauma, and behavioral health presentations.
- Collaborate with external agencies including EMS, law enforcement, crisis services, transfer centers, and pharmacies to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of practice or valid compact license.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to direct patient care.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
- CPI certification required; dysrhythmia exam required prior to start.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify.
- Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care RN experience preferred.
- Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
