Seed Analyst
Pennington Seed/Central Garden & Pet Company is a leader in the lawn care industry. We seek a highly motivated, conscientious, and trustworthy individual to join our team as a Seed Analyst in Greenfield, Missouri.
Shift Details:
* Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Location:
* Greenfield, MO
Key Responsibilities:
* Cross training for the ability to perform varied tasks associated with seed testing.
* Purity and noxious seed analysis.
* TZ testing.
* Germination evaluation.
* Fluorescence test for ryegrass.
* Vacuum germination planting.
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
* RST, Registered Seed Technologist preferred, but not required.
* Seed or Plant Science background preferred, but not required.
* Ability to work with magnification, tweezers, and various lab equipment pertaining to seed testing.
* Work flexible hours as needed.
* This position requires working closely with other lab personnel and the ability to maintain respect for co-workers.
* Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
* Able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
