Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs, hemodynamic status, and sedation levels during procedures
- Assist physicians with catheter insertion, contrast injection, and device placement
- Educate patients and families about pre- and post-procedure care
- Ensure sterile technique and patient safety at all times
- Document patient responses and procedure details accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy, pathophysiology, and interventional procedures
- Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Competence in hemodynamic monitoring and arrhythmia recognition
