This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-stakes matters involving ownership breakdowns, fiduciary duty claims, valuation disputes, and partnership/shareholder conflicts in a lean, high-responsibility environment. Responsibilities: Handle complex commercial litigation matters with a focus on business divorce and closely held entity disputes Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court submissions in New York state and federal courts Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice Take and defend depositions, with increasing responsibility for case ownership Conduct legal research and develop case strategy in coordination with partners Participate in client communications and case management discussions Assist with trial preparation, hearings, and, where appropriate, trial participation Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm Experience at a large law firm (BigLaw) strongly preferred Strong academic credentials; J.D. from a top-tier law school preferred Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing Excellent writing, analytical, and advocacy skills Prior exposure to complex commercial disputes required Preferred Experience: Experience with business divorce matters, partnership disputes, shareholder litigation, or closely held business conflicts Exposure to fiduciary duty claims, valuation disputes, or corporate governance issues Experience handling depositions and substantive motion practice with increasing autonomy Ability to thrive in a small-team, high-responsibility boutique environment Interested in hearing more?
