Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
Active Florida PTA state license required to start the assignment.
BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
Outpatient experience required. Experience with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, TENS, whirlpools, hot/cold packs, and therapeutic pool preferred.
Experience training patients in use of assistive devices (canes, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs) and in gait training required.
Demonstrated ability to implement treatment plans and document patient progress in an outpatient setting.
Ability to follow safe patient handling procedures and infection control guidelines.
Customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Embrace patient and employee safety and adhere to facility policies regarding appearance, attendance, and infection control. Implement treatment goals established by the Physical Therapist and document patient progress. Participate in team conferences and special projects as requested. Maintain professional relationships with patients and staff. Use equipment safely and report malfunctions.
