Job Details:
• Work in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical ICU
• Variable patient ratios based on acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, critical ICU/devices 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown 1:3-4
• Required to work every third weekend with no call responsibilities
• Work with day shift staffing of 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
• Must have valid nursing license in hand prior to submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have telemetry experience and ideally PCU or greater experience
• Preferred experience with critical drips, ventilators, and prior ICU experience
• Float to Progressive Care unit when needed
• Work with advanced equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, Impella, IABP, CRRT, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP
• Assist with procedures including pericardiocentesis, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation
• Utilize Sunrise EMR system
• Must be organized but easily adaptable personality
