Job Details:
• Work in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical intensive care unit
• Variable patient ratios based on acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, critical ICU/devices 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown assigned 1:3-4
• Work with advanced equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (nxstage), ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP
• Use Sunrise EMR system
• Must have telemetry experience and ideally PCU or greater experience
• Experience with critical drips, ventilators, and prior ICU experience preferred
• Typical procedures include pericardialcentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, TTE, transvenous pacing wire insertion
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have New Hampshire nursing license in hand prior to submission
• Must be available to start August 3rd or later
• Work every third weekend with no call responsibilities
• May float to Progressive Care unit
• Must be organized but easily adaptable
• Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and PRN sitters per shift
