**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse (RN)
- **Department:** 2 West - Med Surg/Cardiology
- **Location:** 2010 Brookwood Medical Center Dr. Birmingham, AL 35209
- **Openings:** 1
- **Shift:** 3x12, Days (06:45 - 19:15)
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36
- **Weekend Requirements:** Every other weekend
- **Call Requirements:** None
**Unit Information:**
- **Number of Beds:** 30
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:6
- **Equipment:** Standard Acute Care equipment
- **EMR:** Cerner
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- **Must Have Skills/Experience:**
- Med Surg experience
- Cardiology experience preferred
- **Preferred Skillset/Experience:**
- Acute Care skills
- **Type of Patients on Unit:**
- Pre and Post-Heart Cath
- General Cardiology (Chest Pain, Hypertension, etc.)
- **Personality Fit:**
- Flexible
- Open to correction
- Friendly to staff and patients
- Dependable
**Certifications Required:**
- BLS
- NIHSS (AHA)
**Additional Information:**
- **Float Requirements:** First to float, including to like units and facilities within a 25-mile radius
- **Dress Code:**
