Opportunity:
7N Cardiac/Tele (Cardiopulmonary) *Stepdown*
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every-other-weekend requirement (Saturday/Sunday for both days and nights)
• Work in holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6 on 29-bed cardiac stepdown unit
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must be able to titrate drips including cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro up to 50 mcg
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitors
• Care for cardiac patients including CR bands, post cath, AMI, post-op lung surgeries after CCU, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, and post PCI patients
• Float to any MedSurg/Tele units as needed
• Use EPIC charting system
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs, no false nails permitted
• 2 shifts per 13-week contract cancellation policy
• BSN not required
