**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Night Shift NICU Nurse!**
**Job Description:**
* Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our tiniest patients? Join us as a Night Shift NICU Nurse and be part of a dedicated team providing exceptional care in a Level 4 NICU.
* **Shift Details:**
- Nights: 7 PM - 7 AM
- Weekend Requirements: 4 weekends/six weeks with two Mondays and two Fridays
* **Patient Care:**
- Work with a patient ratio of 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4, supported by dedicated CNAs for 1:4 patient assignments.
- Care for a diverse range of neonatal patients, from feeder growers to complex ICU cases.
* **Responsibilities:**
- Demonstrate leadership as a competent nurse in a clinical setting.
- Provide routine and complex care, pursuing long-range goals and plans.
- Utilize the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments, and monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers.
* **Qualifications:**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
* **Licensure & Certifications:**
- Current BLS Certification required (AHA only).
- Current STABLE certification required (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care).
- Current NRP Certification required.
- RN License in the state of TX or compact.
* **Additional Requirements:**
- Completion of New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
- Preceptorship by a designated trained staff member.
- Successful completion of designated organizational entry competency validation.
* **Experience:**
- Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal Setting preferred.
