**Exciting Opportunity for RN - Critical Care - NIGHTS!**
**Job Description:**
- Shift: NIGHTS 7PM-7AM
- Start: ASAP
**Required Certification/Licenses:**
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- Current BLS Certification from AHA required
- Current ACLS Certification from AHA required
- Current TNCC Certification required
**Floating Requirement / Locations:**

**Position Summary:**
As a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care tailored to the unique needs of our diverse patient population. Your expertise will ensure quality care is delivered efficiently and safely, aligning with our unit’s standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct initial assessments and prioritize patient care according to age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Systematically re-assess patients to monitor progress and identify trends for intervention
- Develop and implement a measurable, individualized care plan within established timeframes
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on facts and patient outcomes, adapting care plans as needed
- Participate in patient health education and discharge planning
- Implement and document timely interventions tailored to patient needs
- Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
**Staff Collaboration:**
- Utilize effective communication strategies for desired outcomes
- Delegate and coordinate unit work assignments based on patient and unit needs
- Adjust team assignments as necessary, ensuring quality and completeness of patient care tasks
- Serve as a resource to visitors, physicians, and staff, welcoming them courteously
- Foster a positive work environment with a professional, supportive attitude
- Engage in ongoing unit growth and development to improve organizational performance
**Customer Relations:**
- Create high levels of patient satisfaction with respect for patients' rights and confidentiality
- Promote effective communication and teamwork among all staff
- Uphold the hospital's credibility and positive image through exemplary behavior
**Other Responsibilities:**
- Assist with special projects as assigned
- Interpret and communicate Human Resources Policies and Procedures accurately
- Adapt readily to changes in the work environment
- Maintain a positive attitude, especially during stressful periods
- Take charge of personal professional growth and development
- Adhere to all patient and environmental safety policies
**Requirements:**
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing
- Skills: Current knowledge and skills related to the age/type of patient population served
- Communicate clearly and concisely based on the developmental age of the patient
