Neuro ICU with 20 beds
this is a comprehensive stroke center
lots of stroke patients, some surgical, vented patients, pts with lumbar drains
2 years of experience in a neuro ICU; helpful to have primary or comprehensive stroke center experience; academic hospital experience preferred; previous travel experience preferred
Familiarity with the following patient diagnoses:
Ischemic stroke or hemorrhagic stroke;
those requiring neurosurgical or procedural interventions- i.e brain tumor resection, clippings, coiling, thrombectomy, hematoma evacuation;
status epilepticus with EEG monitoring
encephalitis/ meningitis
Experience with commonly used equipment:
EVDs, bolts, EEG, lumbar drains, ventilators
