**Exciting Opportunity for Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery/Postpartum**
**Job Description:**
- **Shift:** Days 7A-7P
- **Patient Ratio:** 1:2 for Labor and Delivery, 1:6 (3 moms/3 babies) for Postpartum

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead in providing exceptional nursing care, demonstrating independence and awareness of clinical situations.
- Deliver routine and complex care while achieving long-range goals.
- Utilize the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Address the holistic needs of patients and families—psychological, emotional, cultural, and social.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided effectively.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health needs and available resources.
**Job Requirements:**
- **Education/Skills:**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- **Experience:**
- 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty (preferred)
- **Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:**
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- RN License in the state of TX or compact
**Additional Position Requirements:**
- Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
- New hires will undergo preceptorship with a designated trained staff member.
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in a Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal Setting.
- Current certifications:
- AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
- STABLE (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants)
- NRP certification
- ACLS certification (AHA only)

- 7AM - 7PM
