Opportunity:

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation required
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:2-3 with some lower acuity patients
• 2+ years ICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Illinois license required for submission
• Responsible for running codes in the facility with expectation for ICU nurse to lead codes
• Titrate drips including Levo, Neo, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Insulin, TNK and perform some medication mixing
• Floating requirements to Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ER with full patient load
• Handle common diagnoses including sepsis, general medical/surgical, stroke (TNK), DKA, PNA, ETOH withdrawal, and post cath recovery
• Work with 8-bed ICU unit with EICU support at night for 6 of 8 beds aligned with UW Health center
• Responsible for telemetry strips with no monitor tech support using GE Carescape and Airstrip Technology
• Department-specific orientation includes 2 twelve-hour shifts with documentation resource
• Any color professional scrubs required
• MEDITECH charting system experience preferred
• Code Blue Command RN and phlebotomy experience a plus
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
