Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - Med-Surg
Job Details:
• Work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Provide direct patient care under limited supervision
• Plan, direct, and evaluate total nursing care for Med-Surg patients
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience required
• Current Iowa nursing licensure required
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of hire
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English well
• Wear appropriate apparel for the position and display nametag
• Administer medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly
• Maintain standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting
• Perform documentation in patient records accurately, concisely, and in a timely manner
• Demonstrate effective communication skills
• Support and enforce infection control policies and procedures
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel
• Maintain professional patient confidentiality
• Work independently with limited direct supervision
• Attend meetings and in-services as required
