**Exciting Opportunity for a Dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights Med Surg!**
**Job Description**
- Join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care!
- Provide direct patient care with limited supervision and make a positive impact on the lives of our Med-Surg patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan, direct, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care for Med-Surg patients.
- Collaborate effectively with other shifts to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain satisfactory relationships with other departments as a great team player.
- Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate courtesy and cooperation with coworkers, patients, and visitors.
- Incorporate Mission, Vision, and Core Values into daily nursing practice.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance to serve our patients effectively.
- Organize and direct nursing functions, including administering medications and intravenous solutions safely and accurately.
- Assess patient needs and formulate individualized care plans based on gathered data.
- Create a supportive and growth-oriented working climate for coworkers.
- Evaluate patient/family responses to care and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to maintain efficient patient care.
- Document patient care accurately, concisely, and in a timely manner.
- Support and enforce infection control policies.
- Participate in orientation and training for new personnel.
- Display professional patient confidentiality at all times.
- Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
**Qualifications:**
- Current Iowa licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
