CONTRACT - RN - LABOR AND DELIVERY (708) - 13 WEEKS - 7:00P-7:00A
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• No on-call requirements
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care with 1:2 patient ratios
• Must maintain 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios depending on acuity
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, intermediate fetal monitoring
• Must have Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), SVE competency, and C-Section circulation experience
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor & Delivery required
• Work with equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Perform procedures including SVD, cerclages, C-Sections, and TOLAC
• Internal monitor placement competency preferred
• Previous HCA assignment/employment experience preferred
• Experience in Level IV unit (high volume) preferred
• Must adhere to strict attendance policy
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs; no t-shirts allowed, only solid blue/black or grey sweatshirts
• Must demonstrate team player mentality and positive attitude
Facility:
This healthcare facility features a comprehensive Labor and Delivery unit located on the 4th floor of the North Austin Medical Center building. The 32-bed unit maintains a staff of 150 healthcare professionals and operates as a Level IV high-volume maternity center. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring technology and maintains optimal staffing ratios to ensure exceptional maternal and newborn care. The facility emphasizes teamwork and maintains high standards for patient safety and quality outcomes.
