- **Charting System:** Required, Any
- **LTAC Experience:** Preferred
- **Travel Experience:** Required
- **Certifications Needed:** BLS (preferred)
- **Skills Needed:**
- Respiratory
- Oxygen administration
- IV Therapy/Medication
- Peripheral line care
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- **Patient Care Ratios:**
- Days: 1:20
- Nights: 1:20
- Weekends: 1:20
- **Float Requirement:** Yes
- **Patient Age Groups:** Adults, Geriatrics
- **Daily Census:** 40
- **Unit Details:**
- Support from Social Services
- Diagnoses include Dementia, Alzheimer’s, TBI, Plegics, Cognitive & Physical Impairments
- **Additional Skills Required:**
- Accuchecks
- Implanted Glucose Sensors
- Peg Tube (G-tube) feedings
- IV hydration prn
- Phlebotomy lab draws
- Peritoneal dialysis (subcutaneous only)
- Respiratory treatments (nebulizers)
- Wound Care
- **Certification Requirements:**
- Alaska Food Worker Certification obtained during orientation
- $10 fee for certification
- **Traveling Details:**
- Vehicle provided for travel around town
- Must provide valid driver’s license and proof of insurance before operating
- Vehicle to be returned when off-duty with a full tank
- **RTO Restrictions:**
- No more than 2 weeks of RTO for a 26-week contract
- Must work at least 2 of the 3 major Winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
- **Guaranteed Hours:**
- 60 hours per 2 weeks
- Traveler could be called off for 1, 12-hour shift every 2 weeks
