**Exciting Opportunity for Progressive Care Unit RN - Night Shift!**
Join our dynamic Progressive Care Unit, where your skills and compassion will make a significant impact on patient care! As a Progressive Care nurse, you will be an essential part of our team, providing support to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on our medical/surgical unit.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver comprehensive physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients.
- Care for a variety of patient populations, including but not limited to:
- Pediatrics
- Pre and post PCI care
- Pacemaker management
- Revascularization and carotid endarterectomy
- Conditions like CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, sepsis, and more.
- Monitor and assess patients for any potential deteriorating conditions.
- Operate advanced medical equipment and care for patients with:
- Central lines, chest tubes, and nasogastric tubes
- Continuous bladder irrigation and arterial lines
- Multiple IVs and short-term ventilation support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired outcomes.
- Provide direct care from admission to discharge, overseeing discharge planning.
- Lead and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff.
**Qualifications:**
- Current State of Montana RN License.
- Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Preferred certifications: EPNC, TNCC.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
- Proficient in advanced nursing principles and procedures, with pediatric experience preferred.
- Experience in post-heart catheterization care preferred.
- Strong skills in medication management, including common IV medications such as:
- Heparin
- Diltiazem
- Dobutamine
- Milrinone
- Amiodarone
- Dopamine
- Ability to operate advanced medical equipment, including:
- A-lines and invasive lines
- Ventilatory support systems
- Basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation.
