**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Clinical Nurse I, II, III, IV
- **Department:** Patient Care Services
- **Shift:** DAYS - 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- **Start Date:** ASAP
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate and implement patient care tailored to the specific age of the patient population on your assigned units.
- Ensure quality care is delivered efficiently and safely, maintaining the unit’s standards of care.
- Uphold and embody the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization.
- Exhibit outstanding performance and effectiveness in both work habits and clinical practice.
- Treat all staff, physicians, patients, and families with respect and consideration.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
- **Licensure/Certifications:**
- Current New Mexico Registered Nurse license or current Compact state license.
- BLS Certification required via AHA.
- ACLS Certification required via AHA.
**Required Skills:**
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served.
- Awareness and sensitivity to patient rights in care delivery.
- Clear, concise communication tailored to the developmental age of patients.
**Experience:**
- **Years of Experience Required:** 1 year
**Nature of Supervision:**
- Responsible to the Patient Care Director or Manager.
**Work Environment:**
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens; working in areas such as OR, PACU, L&D.
- Clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment.
- Subject to stressful professional relationships with varied working hours.
- Flexibility needed due to unexpected schedule changes and emergencies.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Capability to handle emergency/crisis situations.
- Ability to engage in prolonged standing or walking.
- Heavy physical effort required to position, push, and/or transfer patients or equipment.
- Requires reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination are essential.
- Vision and hearing acuity should be within normal or correctable limits.
