**Exciting Opportunity for an Operating Room Nurse - DAYS!**
- **Primary Location:** Assignment at PMC with the opportunity to float to Main campus OR as staffing needs arise.
- **Shift:** DAY SHIFT from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- **Start Date:** ASAP!
**Requirements:**
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
- BLS Certification required via AHA.
- ACLS Certification required via AHA.
**Key Information:**
- Blocked scheduling is not accommodated.
- No weekend requirement, but you may volunteer to pick up call at Main campus.
- No on-call requirement, but if cases run past scheduled blocks, there is an expectation to stay and finish that day’s cases.
**Summary of Responsibilities:**
- Demonstrate leadership as a competent nurse, providing both routine and complex care.
- Conduct nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and provided care.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
**Job Requirements:**
- **Education/Skills:** Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- **Experience:** At least 1 year in a related nursing specialty preferred.
- **Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:**
- BLS required
- RN License in state of employment or compact.
**Work Schedule:**
- 5 Days - 8 Hours
- **Work Type:** Full Time
