Job Description:
This role involves providing nursing care in the Trauma Stepdown unit, managing patients requiring acute surgical interventions or postoperative care. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring, assessment, and ensuring effective communication within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients requiring acute surgical intervention or consultation.
- Provide care for postoperative patients including trauma, bariatric, vascular, and orthopedic surgery.
- Manage patients with neurological diagnoses such as CVA, TBI, and seizures.
- Care for patients with cardiovascular conditions, including those with hemodynamic stability issues.
Requirements:
- ACLS and BLS certification.
- NIH and strong customer service skills.
- Experience in trauma/orthopedic units preferred.
- Meditech experience preferred.
