Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Little Rock, AR 72205 (Arkansas nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit (14 LDRs, 3,500 deliveries/year)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (1830-0700)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/8/2026)
- Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Up to every other weekend and rotating holidays
- Orientation: 2-3 days
- Documentation System: EPIC
- Medication System: Pyxis
- Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs provided
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2070 - $2220
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Compact or Arkansas RN license (Registered Nurse license)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred
- BLS certification (required)
- NRP certification (required)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (preferred)
- Must reside 100+ miles from facility (no local candidates)
- Ability to circulate for C-sections
- All compliance documents due 2 weeks prior to start date
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver expert care for high-risk OB patients, antepartum, and post-partum mothers
- Stabilize newborns and assist with labor and deliveries
- Circulate for C-sections; support PACU and operating rooms as needed
- Start IVs, draw labs, and administer medications (Oxytocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin infusions, etc.)
- Float to Post-Partum and Antepartum units as required
- Collaborate with Certified Nurse Midwives, respiratory therapists, and anesthesia teams
- Document patient care using EPIC; manage medications via Pyxis
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies regarding attire, jewelry, and hygiene
