Position Purpose: The Nurse Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to department nurse leadership. Assists with timekeeping, scheduling, data reporting/collection. They will function as the daily shift leader of the multidisciplinary team. Identifies and assists in resolution of problems related to safety, sanitation and maintenance of the environment. Practices effective communication in all interactions (patient, visitor, co-worker, etc.). Promotes a positive work environment by demonstrating teamwork. Responsible for direct patient care of the hospitalized patients, providing a safe and therapeutic environment.
Shift Available : 7am-330pm or 11am-730pm depending upon unit needs
Status Available : Full time, benefit eligible (80 hours per pay period - every two weeks)
Required Qualifications - Requires current Michigan Nursing License
- Graduation from accredited nursing program
- New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years
- 2 years minimum experience with demonstrated leadership skills
- BSN preferred
- Canadian Nurses are encouraged to apply
