The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing mid-shift warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, safety, and team development. This role supports planning, training, and performance management while maintaining high standards in equipment and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and directing warehouse operations to ensure efficient mid-shift performance
- Promote and maintain high morale, work standards, and team development
- Train, coach, and manage employee performance and engagement
- Identify and resolve operational issues at the root level
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies
- Monitor and manage expenses within budget
- Support efforts to reduce employee turnover and minimize overtime
- Maintain equipment and housekeeping standards in accordance with company expectations
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Experience operating warehouse equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to engage and develop employees
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF technology, and labor management systems
- Skilled in interviewing, coaching, performance evaluation, and documentation
- Strong focus on quality and continuous process improvement
- Ability to interpret and analyze operational data
Physical Requirements
- High-energy distribution center environment
- Overtime required as needed
