Learn more about Louisiana Department of Health This Medical Certification Supervisor functions as supervisor to the professional staff to ensure that the licensure/certification survey activities and the medical certification process are completed in an effective and efficient manner at the regional level.
Minimum Qualifications A current Louisiana license in a health services field, health regulation field, or social services field plus four years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus four years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services; OR
A master's degree in a health services field, health regulation field, or a social services field plus three years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:
Job Duties include but not limited to:
- Supervises Medical Certification Specialists I/II's in the field office. Evaluates and documents their performance of work completed, performance planning and review evaluations.
- Assist training coordinators with development of orientation training programs. Implements training programs and monitors progress of trainees.
- Assist in developing policy and recommending changes in policy used by survey staff.
- Monitors and evaluates Continuous Quality Improvement reports. Documents written responses to CQL as needed. Makes recommendations to Field Office Manager, Program Managers, and/or Training Coordinator to correct problems identified from CQI process.
Preference will be given to applicants with a Louisiana RN Licensure.
