- Position: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 3x12

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and pain management interventions as prescribed
- Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures
- Monitor and interpret fetal heart tracings and uterine activity
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout the childbirth process
- Assist with newborn stabilization and immediate postpartum care
- Respond effectively to obstetrical emergencies and changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, neonatal teams, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care guidelines
Requirements
- Active RN License in California
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification required
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
- Experience with high-risk pregnancies, labor management, and postpartum care preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered maternal care
